How to Sell on Noon: A Guide for UAE and Saudi Sellers

How to sell on noon in the UAE or KSA: eligibility, documents, registration steps, FBN vs FBP/DirectShip, fees, performance targets and weekly payouts.

By Quickship Editorial Team · Published 21 October 2026

Here is how to sell on noon if your business is registered in the UAE or Saudi Arabia: create an Organization ID in Seller Lab, set up a store and a Legal Entity with your trade licence or Commercial Registration, ID and bank details, then list products and choose Fulfilled by noon (FBN) or Fulfilled by Partner (FBP). Approval is per Legal Entity, and payouts are weekly. This guide covers each step, the fees and the performance targets noon measures you on.

If your company is registered outside the country you want to sell in, noon treats you as an International Seller. Read our guide to selling on noon from outside the UAE for that route.

Who can sell on noon as a local seller

Noon's eligibility page defines a Local Seller as a business registered in the country where it wants to sell. For the UAE and KSA, the checklist is:

  1. Trade licence or Commercial Registration issued in that country, including at least one of these activities: sales, trading, manufacturing, or distribution/wholesale. Noon's documents page says licences limited to services are not accepted, and an e-commerce licence is accepted.
  2. At least 15 days of validity left on registration documents when you submit.
  3. A Business Representative with accepted ID. If that person is not the legal owner on the licence, you upload a Power of Attorney.
  4. A business bank account in the company's name.

For Saudi Arabia, noon notes that registration with Freelance Certificates is suspended, citing Ministry of Commerce guidance, because that certificate covers service activities, not e-commerce trading.

Documents you need: UAE vs KSA

From noon's documents page:

Document Noon UAE (local seller) Noon KSA (local seller)
Business registration UAE trade licence, at least 15 days validity Saudi CR authorising trading or e-commerce activities
VAT certificate Optional: you can choose "Non-VAT Registered" Mandatory: a valid VAT number, to reduce compliance risk with ZATCA
ID (one of) Emirates ID (front and back) or passport Saudi National ID, Iqama or passport
Bank proof (one of) Cancelled cheque, bank letter on letterhead (signed and stamped), or bank statement Same, or a bank card
Bank account rules No personal accounts; name must match the legal registered name Same

For UAE sellers, whether you should register for VAT is set by the Federal Tax Authority, not noon. The FTA sets mandatory registration at AED 375,000 of taxable supplies and imports over 12 months (or expected in the next 30 days), and voluntary registration from AED 187,500.

Registration step by step

Noon's registration guide describes the process in Seller Lab:

  1. Create an Organization ID. Sign up, verify your email and phone by OTP, and choose an organisation name (customers do not see it).
  2. Create your store. Choose "Start Selling" under noon.com, pick the country you want to sell in (UAE or Saudi Arabia) and your country of registration, and enter the store name in English and Arabic. Noon's code of conduct bars store names that use other brands' names, websites or email addresses.
  3. Create the Legal Entity. Upload the trade licence PDF, confirm the captured details, and add tax details (TRN, issue and expiry dates, and the VAT certificate if you are VAT registered).
  4. Add the Business Representative. Name, email and ID; add a Power of Attorney if they are not the legal owner.
  5. Add the payment method and supporting bank document.
  6. Sign the Terms and Conditions, which are emailed to the Business Representative.

Noon reviews the submission and emails the result. If the Legal Entity is rejected, the reason shows in the Setup Guide and you can fix and resubmit. Noon allows one Legal Entity per trade licence, though one Organization ID can hold several.

After approval, noon's next steps page offers free onboarding training sessions for UAE and KSA sellers, and says you need only one product listing to start. Most products need a product ID, description, images and specifications.

Fulfilment options: FBN, DirectShip and the other FBP models

Noon offers two selling models, each with sub-options.

Fulfilled by noon (FBN). You send stock to noon's fulfilment centres. Noon stores, picks, packs, ships and handles returns, and the listing is badged noon Express, which noon says customers filter for.

Fulfilled by Partner (FBP). Per noon's FBP overview, you keep the stock at your own location and pack each order, and noon handles delivery, except in Direct Delivery. Within FBP:

FBP model What it covers
DirectShip Items that are not bulky and need no installation: you pack in noon packaging and label each order, then noon picks it up (or you drop it at a noon hub), delivers it and manages returns
DirectShip Express An express variant of DirectShip; noon covers its terms in a separate FAQ
Bulky DirectShip Bulky items that do not need installation; noon delivers
Direct Delivery Bulky items that need installation, delivered by your own fleet

Noon's help pages say Bulky DirectShip and Direct Delivery depend on product dimensions and need approval. For standard DirectShip, noon asks you to order its packing materials at least a week ahead and to process orders in its Supply Chain app, which it says works only on Android phones and tablets.

How to choose. FBN suits small, fast-moving items where the noon Express badge matters, and sellers without their own warehouse team. DirectShip suits sellers who already run a warehouse in Dubai, Riyadh or Jeddah and want to keep stock in one place for several channels. If you do keep one stock pool across noon, Amazon and your own site, our guide on how to stop overselling across Amazon, Noon and Shopify shows how to set it up.

What noon charges

Fees vary by country, category and model, and noon updates them often. All noon fees are exclusive of VAT. The main lines on the FBN fees in UAE and FBP fees in UAE pages:

Fee FBN FBP / DirectShip
Referral fee % of sale price by category, minimum 1 AED per item (1 SAR in KSA); some brand and product-type exceptions Same structure
Outbound fee Per unit, when an order is first marked Delivered or Non-Delivered Return; based on dimensions, weight and sale price DirectShip outbound fee per shipment, based on dimensions and the higher of volumetric or physical weight
Storage Monthly, per cubic foot and storage days, billed on a separate monthly statement No monthly storage line; a non-saleable item storage fee is listed
Shipping fee Not listed as a separate line Reimbursement of the shipping fee collected from the customer, up to 10 AED per order after delivery
Circumstantial Long-term storage, non-saleable storage, warranty, retention penalties, miscellaneous Non-saleable storage, warranty, retention penalties, return administration, miscellaneous

Both fee pages show referral changes for some categories effective 10 September 2026, so download the current table and the exceptions sheet before you price. The KSA pages have their own rates in SAR.

A hypothetical example. Say a Sharjah homeware seller lists a 60 AED kitchen item through FBN. It should budget for the category referral fee on the sale price, the FBN outbound fee for that size and price band, monthly storage for each unit waiting in the fulfilment centre, and 5% VAT on every noon fee. Then it should run the same item through the DirectShip calculator and compare.

Performance targets

Noon's DirectShip performance page sets two standards, each measured over 7 days:

  1. Cancellation rate under 2.5%: orders you reject or mark lost before handover, against total orders with an estimated shipping date in the period.
  2. Late shipment rate below 3%: orders handed over after the estimated shipping date, against total shipped orders.

Noon says missing them can lead to stock pulldown, offer deactivation, or store suspension or termination. To restore standing, you email a Plan of Action to seller@noon.com with a self-assessment of the causes and how you will prevent them. Both rates appear under the Account Health & Performance tab.

How noon payouts work

From noon's payments processing policy:

  • Statements are generated every Wednesday. They include delivered orders, new returns against earlier statements, noon fees, and compensation for damages.
  • Noon pays weekly when the statement is positive (sales after returns exceed fees) and you meet the minimum threshold.
  • The threshold is 100 AED or SAR when your bank account is in the marketplace currency, and 1,000 AED or SAR when it is in a different currency. Below the threshold, funds roll over until the total is met.
  • For the UAE and KSA, payment for a Wednesday statement is processed on Thursday of the following week, and noon says funds appear within 1 to 2 business days of the due date.
  • Disputes about a statement must be raised within 15 days of the statement date.

Keep your licence and bank details current. Noon lists an approved Legal Entity, valid documents, accepted terms and correct bank details as conditions for smooth payment.

Help with marketplace setup

Quickship's Marketplace Activation module is aimed at brands with no UAE entity: it opens and verifies noon and Amazon.ae seller accounts, files product registrations and connects marketplace orders to Quickship's inventory and shipping software. UAE- and KSA-registered sellers can run the steps above themselves.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a VAT certificate to sell on noon?

It depends on the country. Noon's documents page says local UAE sellers can register as 'Non-VAT Registered', but all sellers operating in KSA must give a valid VAT registration number. Whether your UAE business must register for VAT is set by the FTA thresholds, not by noon.

Can I use a freelance permit to sell on noon in Saudi Arabia?

Not for new registrations. Noon says that, following Ministry of Commerce guidance, registration in KSA using Freelance Certificates is suspended, because that certificate covers service activities and not e-commerce trading. You need a Commercial Registration that authorises trading or e-commerce.

How often does noon pay sellers?

Noon generates statements every Wednesday and pays weekly once your statement is positive and you meet the minimum threshold. For a local bank account in the marketplace currency the threshold is 100 AED or SAR. For UAE and KSA, payment for a Wednesday statement is processed on Thursday of the following week.

What is the difference between FBN and DirectShip on noon?

With Fulfilled by noon (FBN), your stock sits in noon's fulfilment centres and noon picks, packs, ships and handles returns; listings show as noon Express. With DirectShip, part of Fulfilled by Partner (FBP), you keep the stock, pick and pack each order, and hand it to noon logistics for delivery.

Can a company based outside the UAE or KSA sell on noon?

Yes, as an International Seller, with a different document set and payout options. See our guide to selling on noon from outside the UAE for that route.
