Noon Seller Fees in the UAE: Commission and FBN Costs

Noon seller fees in the UAE explained: referral fees, FBN outbound and storage costs, plus a worked pricing example and checklist before you set a price.

By Quickship Editorial Team · Published 29 October 2026

Noon seller fees in the UAE have three main parts: a referral fee on each sale, an FBN outbound fee per unit shipped to the customer, and a monthly FBN storage fee. According to noon's FBN fees page, the current structure applies from 10 September 2026, and referral fees are exclusive of VAT. Add all three before you set a price, or a product that looks profitable can lose money.

What are noon seller fees in the UAE?

Noon seller fees are the charges noon deducts when you sell on noon.com in the UAE. The exact mix depends on whether you use Fulfilled by noon (FBN) or Fulfilled by Partner (FBP).

Fee What it is Charged
Referral fee A percentage of the selling price, set by product category Per product sold
FBN outbound fee Pick, pack and delivery to the customer, set by size, weight and average selling price Per unit
FBN storage fee Space used in a noon fulfilment centre Monthly, per item
Prep services Polybag, shrink wrap or bubble wrap Per unit
Circumstantial fees Removal, returns, non-saleable stock, retention penalty When triggered

With FBP you ship the order yourself, so you pay the referral fee but not the FBN outbound and storage fees. Your own courier cost replaces them.

How much is the noon referral fee?

The referral fee is a percentage of the selling price, and the rate depends on the product category. Noon also lists product-type and brand-level exceptions in a downloadable sheet, so check your exact product, not just the category.

These rates are on the FBN fees page:

Category Referral fee
Apparel and footwear 27%, with some exceptions
Eyewear 15%
Watches 15% on the part of the price up to AED 5,000, then 5% on the part above
Memory cards 15% on the part up to AED 250, then 8% on the part above
SSDs and hard drives 6%
Networking accessories 6%
Mobiles, phones and tablets 5% on the part above AED 500; check the page for the rate at or below AED 500

Two things to notice. Some rates are tiered, so the percentage applies to slices of the price, not the whole price. And the fee is the same whether the item sells for a little or a lot within a slice, so low-priced items in high-rate categories like apparel need careful margin checks.

Do FBP rates differ from FBN rates?

Yes, for some categories. Noon's FBP fees page shows health nutrition at 8% up to AED 50 and 15% above AED 50. It shows memory cards at 15.5% up to AED 250 and 8.5% above, while the FBN page shows 15% and 8%. The FBP page also says some referral fees changed on 10 September 2026, with old rates applying until 9 September 2026. Make sure any spreadsheet you built before that date has been updated.

What does the FBN outbound fee cost per unit?

The outbound fee applies to each unit shipped to a customer. It depends on dimensions, shipping weight and sale price, as explained on noon's outbound fee calculation page. The table is effective from 10 September 2026. There are two price columns: average selling price (ASP) up to AED 25, and ASP above AED 25.

Size and weight ASP up to AED 25 ASP above AED 25
Small envelope AED 5.5 AED 7.5
Standard envelope, up to 0.1 kg AED 6 AED 8
Standard envelope, up to 0.25 kg AED 6.2 AED 8.2
Standard envelope, up to 0.50 kg AED 6.5 AED 8.5
Large envelope AED 7 AED 8.5
Standard parcel, up to 0.25 kg AED 7.2 AED 9.2
Standard parcel, over 0.25 kg up to 0.50 kg AED 7.5 AED 9.5
Oversize parcel, 20 to 25 kg AED 34.5 AED 36.5

These are example rows. Noon's full table has more size and weight bands, so find your product's band before you copy a number.

How is FBN storage charged?

FBN storage is a monthly fee per item stored in a noon fulfilment centre. Noon calculates it from the item's size in cubic feet and the number of storage days.

Cubic feet = length × width × height (in cm) ÷ 28,317.

For example, a boxed item measuring 30 × 20 × 10 cm is 6,000 cm³, which is about 0.21 cubic feet. Small products cost little to store. Bulky, slow-selling products add up.

Noon's FBN Fees dashboard shows the dimensions noon measured and an estimate of storage and outbound fees. Fees show per unit by default. You can change the view to see the storage cost for your whole inventory. Some third-party sites quote per-cubic-foot storage rates and rate changes from October 2026. I could not confirm those on noon's pages, so take the rate from your dashboard.

Which extra fees catch sellers out?

The extra fees are the ones that only appear when something goes wrong or stock sits too long. The FBN fees page lists:

  • Non-saleable item storage fee for stock noon cannot sell.
  • Retention Penalty fee (RETP).
  • Return administration fee, charged for specific seller-controllable reasons.
  • Inventory removal fee when you ask noon to take stock out.
  • Value-added prep, charged per unit. A plain polybag or shrink wrap is AED 0.8 for envelopes and standard parcels. Bubble wrap is AED 2.0.

One date matters. To avoid long-term and non-saleable storage fees, place removal requests for aging stock by the 25th of each month. Put that on your calendar.

How do you price a product after noon seller fees?

Work out the full fee stack per unit, then add your own costs. Follow these steps:

  1. Find your product's referral rate and any exception on the FBN fees page.
  2. Find the size and weight band, then pick the ASP column for the outbound fee.
  3. Check dimensions in the FBN Fees dashboard and read the storage estimate.
  4. Add prep costs if noon packs your item.
  5. Add VAT on the fees, since fees are exclusive of VAT.
  6. Add your own costs: purchase price, freight to the noon warehouse, returns and ads.
  7. Set the price, then test what happens if the item sits in storage for months.

Worked example (hypothetical)

Say a Dubai trader sells a networking accessory at AED 100. It fits a standard envelope up to 0.25 kg, and the ASP is above AED 25. The storage figure below is a placeholder, not a noon rate. Replace it with your dashboard number.

Line AED
Referral fee, 6% of AED 100 6.00
FBN outbound, standard envelope up to 0.25 kg, ASP above AED 25 8.20
Polybag prep 0.80
Storage (placeholder) 0.50
Fees before VAT 15.50
VAT on fees at 5% 0.78
Total fees 16.28

Noon's Global Store guide gives 5% as the UAE VAT on marketplace fees. That page is written for cross-border sellers, so confirm the treatment on your own statements.

That leaves about AED 83.72 before your product cost, freight, returns, ads and VAT on the sale. If your landed cost is AED 60, you keep about AED 23.72 before those extras. A 10% discount to win the Buy Box cuts that further, because the outbound fee is fixed.

What mistakes make noon pricing go wrong?

  • Using old rates. The current structure applies from 10 September 2026. Spreadsheets from earlier in the year are out of date.
  • Mixing up FBN and FBP. Some rates differ, such as memory cards.
  • Ignoring exceptions. Product-type and brand-level exceptions can change the referral fee.
  • Trusting your own measurements. Noon charges on the dimensions it measured. Check the dashboard and report discrepancies.
  • Forgetting aged stock. Missing the 25th removal deadline can bring long-term and non-saleable storage fees.
  • Reading statements too late. Weekly statements are in Seller Lab under Payments & Fees > Statements. The storage statement arrives monthly, usually in the second week of the following month.

Where does software help?

If you sell the same SKUs on noon, Amazon.ae and Shopify, keeping stock and fee assumptions in one place saves errors. Quickship's Inventory module is multi-warehouse and syncs with Amazon, noon and Shopify. If you are a brand abroad and need a noon or Amazon.ae seller account set up, see Marketplace Activation. Quickship is a technology company. It does not store, ship or fulfil your goods.

Frequently asked questions

Does noon charge VAT on top of its fees?

Noon states that its referral fees are exclusive of VAT, so VAT is added on top. Noon's Global Store guide gives the rate on marketplace fees as 5% in the UAE. Check your Seller Lab statements to see how VAT appears on your own invoices, and ask your accountant how to treat it.

Where can I see what noon actually charged me?

In Seller Lab, go to Navigation Menu > Payments & Fees > Statements. Noon issues weekly statements there, and you can export a report. The separate FBN storage fee statement is usually issued in the second week of the following month.

What if noon measured my product wrongly?

Open the FBN Fees dashboard, which shows the dimensions noon measured at its fulfilment centres. If they differ from your own measurements, you can report a discrepancy. Do this early, because size drives both storage and outbound fees.

Are FBP referral fees the same as FBN referral fees?

Not always. On the FBP page, memory cards are 15.5% on the part of the price up to AED 250 and 8.5% above. On the FBN page the same rows read 15% and 8%. Always read the page for the fulfilment model you use.

Can I rely on blog posts for noon's storage rate?

No. Some third-party sites quote storage and penalty figures, but they can be out of date or wrong. Use the FBN Fees page and your FBN Fees dashboard, and treat any other figure as unverified until it matches those.
