Ramadan Content Calendar for GCC Blogs: Eid to White Friday

A Ramadan content calendar for UAE and KSA blogs: what to publish and when for Ramadan, Eid, National Day and White Friday, with a month-by-month plan.

By Quickship Editorial Team · Published 27 October 2026

A Ramadan content calendar is a dated publishing plan that places your blog posts before, during and after Ramadan, Eid and the other GCC peak periods. Start it 4 to 6 weeks before each date, and treat every Ramadan and Eid date as a forecast until the official moon-sighting announcement. This guide gives you the dates, a month-by-month plan from now to September 2027, and topic ideas for logistics, trading and e-commerce businesses in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Which dates should a Ramadan content calendar use?

Use the forecast dates below, and confirm each one on the official page before you publish anything that states a date as fact. The UAE moon-sighting committee observes the moon on the 29th of each month to announce the start and end of the Islamic month, so any date published today can move by a day.

Occasion Forecast date Notes
Ramadan 2027 starts Monday 8 February 2027 Projected; lasts 29 or 30 days (The National, Gulf News)
Saudi Founding Day Monday 22 February 2027 (my estimate) In 2026 HRSD announced it as an official holiday for public, private and non-profit sectors. If Ramadan starts on 8 February, it falls mid-Ramadan again.
Eid al-Fitr 2027 9 or 10 March 2027 Subject to moon-sighting confirmation
Eid al-Adha 2027 Likely 16 or 17 May 2027 Khaleej Times
UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad) 2 and 3 December 2026 Check u.ae; eligible holidays can be moved to the start or end of the week
White Friday Late November 2026 Dates and rules are set by each platform. Check your noon or Amazon.ae seller dashboard.

The length of the Eid al-Fitr break is not settled. Forecasts differ, so write "confirm the holiday on u.ae" instead of promising a number of days. The same applies to Saudi Arabia: confirm on the HRSD site once the announcement is made. Saudi National Day is on 23 September; confirm the 2027 holiday arrangement with HRSD.

How does Ramadan change when your readers are online?

Shorter working days move B2B reading to different hours, so schedule your posts and emails around them. For 2026, MOHRE announced a two-hour daily reduction in normal working hours for private sector employees in the UAE during Ramadan. The same notice said private companies may use flexible or remote work within the daily hours set for the month.

That notice came on 12 February 2026, about a week before Ramadan began. I found no 2027 notice yet. A similar announcement in early February 2027 is likely, but not confirmed. Plan for it, then check the MOHRE news page before you write any post that quotes the hours.

Practical effects for your schedule:

  • Publish B2B posts earlier in the working day, then review the timing against your own analytics after the first week.
  • Expect more evening reading, so put your consumer-facing posts after iftar.
  • Keep posts short and scannable. Readers have less time.

How do you build a Ramadan content calendar in 6 steps?

Work backwards from each date, and give every post one job. Here is the process.

  1. List your fixed dates. Use the table above. Add your own dates: last order day before Eid, supplier closures, staff leave.
  2. Set publishing windows. For each date, plan a "prepare" post 4 to 6 weeks before, a "do it now" post 1 to 2 weeks before, and a "what changed" update afterwards.
  3. Match each date to a customer question. A freight forwarder's question is "Will my cargo clear before Eid?" An online seller's question is "How do I prepare stock for White Friday?"
  4. Assign a market tag. Mark each post UAE, KSA or both. Name the right authority in each: Dubai Customs, FTA or MOHRE for the UAE; ZATCA, HRSD or Fasah for Saudi Arabia.
  5. Write the update line first. Every dated post needs a "Last checked" line and a link to the official page.
  6. Review after each date. Note which posts got searches and enquiries, then repeat or drop topics next year.

What should you publish each month, from now to September 2027?

Publish the planning posts early and the reaction posts fast. This plan starts from today, 27 October 2026.

Month Occasion Post ideas
Nov 2026 White Friday Stock and listing checklist; COD return handling; courier capacity planning for peak weeks
Dec 2026 UAE National Day Holiday-hours notice; year-end customs and invoice checklist; 2027 holiday calendar
Jan 2027 Pre-Ramadan Ramadan prep guide; staff leave and visa renewals before the holiday period; supplier lead times
Early Feb 2027 Ramadan starts (8 Feb, forecast) Working-hours update after the MOHRE notice; Ramadan delivery windows
Feb 2027 Founding Day (KSA) Saudi holiday note; shipment timing for Saudi customers
Late Feb to early Mar 2027 Pre-Eid Eid order cut-off post; WhatsApp opt-in reminder; handover checklist for the break
Mar 2027 Eid al-Fitr (9 or 10 Mar) Back-to-work post; backlog and reconciliation checklist
Apr 2027 Post-Ramadan Lessons learned; review of what sold
May 2027 Eid al-Adha (likely 16 or 17 May) Same structure as Eid al-Fitr, shorter
Sep 2027 Saudi National Day (23 Sep) Saudi-focused post; confirm holiday on HRSD

Which topics fit which type of business?

Match each topic to the way your customers buy. These are examples, not predictions.

  • Freight forwarders and customs brokers: a pre-Eid cargo timeline for Jebel Ali or Dammam, holiday documentation checks, and a checklist for what to send your broker before the break.
  • Couriers and last-mile operators: Ramadan delivery windows, COD handling during peak weeks, and a post on how to reconcile cash after Eid.
  • Online sellers on Amazon.ae, noon, Salla or Zid: White Friday stock checks, Eid gifting listings, and how to update product pages before sale periods.
  • Restaurants: iftar menu planning and catering order cut-offs. Say a Dubai restaurant takes group iftar bookings. A post explaining its booking terms is more useful than a generic greeting.
  • Trading and service companies: supplier lead times, quotation validity over the break, and staff leave planning.

What mistakes should you avoid?

Most Ramadan calendars fail on timing and accuracy, not on ideas.

  • Stating forecast dates as official. Say "expected" and link to the official page.
  • Promising holiday length. Forecasts differ. Write "confirm on u.ae".
  • Publishing too late. A guide posted a few days before Ramadan has little time to be found.
  • Copying one post for both countries. A UAE post about MOHRE hours does not apply to Saudi employers.
  • Sending promotions to everyone on WhatsApp. Send broadcasts only to contacts who opted in, as the UAE and Saudi PDPL expect.
  • Forgetting the update. Old Eid posts with last year's dates damage trust.

Can you automate the calendar?

Yes, partly. The plan above is 25 to 30 posts a year, and the hard part is writing them on time. Quickship's Auto Blog service is an SEO blog service at AED 99 a month. You can use it to keep a steady publishing rhythm, then review each dated post against the official page before it goes live. If your site is not ready, Quickship also builds business websites from AED 49 a month.

Whatever tool you use, check every date and rule yourself. A calendar only helps if the dates in it are right.

Frequently asked questions

How far ahead should I publish Ramadan blog posts?

Publish the main Ramadan guides four to six weeks before the month starts, so search engines have time to find and index them. For a forecast start of 8 February 2027, that means early to mid January. Keep a few slots free for short updates once the moon-sighting announcement is made.

Should the same calendar be used for the UAE and Saudi Arabia?

Use one backbone and add market-specific posts. Ramadan and Eid are shared, but the start can differ by a day, and each country has its own national days and authorities. Saudi posts should reference HRSD, ZATCA or Salla where relevant, and UAE posts should reference MOHRE, the FTA or Dubai Customs.

Can I send my Ramadan content to customers on WhatsApp?

Only to contacts who opted in to receive messages from you. Both the UAE PDPL and the Saudi PDPL expect a lawful basis for using personal data, and an opt-in record is the safest way to show it. Keep the opt-in date and source for each contact.

What if the official Eid dates change after I publish?

Update the post and note the date of the change at the top. Forecasts are published months ahead, and the official announcement follows the crescent sighting. Avoid hard-coding a holiday length in titles or headings so you do not need to rewrite them.

Do B2B blogs need a Ramadan plan, or only retail brands?

B2B blogs benefit too, because buyers still search during Ramadan, just at different hours and about different problems. Freight, customs, courier and HR topics around Eid cut-offs, staff leave and shortened working days are practical and easy to link to a service page.
